Social welfare facilities in greater demand than ever

As in almost all industrialised countries, an enormous rise in the over-80 generation is also increasingly being recorded here in Germany. This aspect of demographic change suggeststhat the support, treatment and care of very old people will pose enormous challenges for politicians and our social systems in the coming decades. Particularly in Germany, the associated demand for age-appropriate housing concepts and senior citizen services – from day care, through residential groups, to assisted living – will increase dramatically. And for focussed, high-quality care, social welfare housing is needed – especially in metropolitan areas and their environs – which is holistically designed and professionally operated.
